Purpose / Mission

The mission of SC MedTech is to foster a competitive business environment in South Carolina for medical device companies from conceptualization to commercialization.

The mission will be executed in three distinct areas:

• To support the growth and success of the medtech industry in South Carolina by increasing the industry’s effectiveness and by encouraging cooperation and the exchange of information.
• To increase understanding of the state medtech industry’s importance and impact to the citizens of South Carolina and to communicate industry issues to local and state officials.
• To create a business environment which fosters the creation of innovative medical device companies; aids in the sustained growth of existing South Carolina medical device companies, and cooperatively works together to assist in the marketing and recruitment of world-class medical device companies to South Carolina.
